Easter Sunday 2014

Saturday night we slept over at my parents house in Draper.  The kids were exhausted after our party the night before and slept in Easter morning until 8:15.  That is a big deal around our house :)

Grandpa then showed Adalyn her Easter basket on the dining table and from then on the girl was smitten with all things treats/candy.  She called her basket her "Box" and has carried it around with her every where.  Along with her treats the Easter bunny brought the kids the movie Frozen.  We have now watched it twice and it is only Monday.  Can I memorize those songs any more?

Jensen woke up even later and although he was still half asleep he was thrilled about his basket too!

Breakfast easter morning consisted of "breakfast food" in our baskets and eggs.  Apple juice, donuts, and cereal with a side of Easter candy.  Yeah next year I think we will do less candy.  Seriously, we will have this stuff forever!

Then of course we got ready for church and snapped a few pictures.  I was a little disappointed because half of their new church clothes did not get shipped to our house in time so Jensen is missing his cute little pink bow tie to match Adalyn's dress.  Good thing these are also their wedding outfits for McKay's brother's wedding in June so they will get another chance to wear their matching clothes.  Why do I even care so much about matching clothes?!

What cute people I get to live with!

Church was a wonderful time to reflect on our savior and his sacrifice for us.  We especially loved watching the Church's "Because of Him" video this past week.  The kids watched it multiple times and day and we are so glad that the church goes to so much work to help us spread his gospel.  What an amazing, hope filled message to share with the world.
