I Wish I Took More Pictures

Hello, hello!  Life around these parts is really great.  Busy, but a fun busy.  With lots of parties, birthdays, and weddings.  Last week we had a jam packed week and weekend.  We traveled to Utah 2 Sundays ago and stayed for a whole week while McKay went on a business trip to Pennsylvania (hopefully his last trip for a while).

But guess what... I forgot my camera, SO I don't have a single picture from the entire week!  Some days I wish that I was more attached to my camera.  Like it would be nice if I had a smart phone so that I always had a camera with me.  But we live in the dark ages at our house (I could write a whole other post on it) and we don't have a smart phone, or at least one that has internet capabilities.  I honestly felt so bad about not taking a single picture I might just do a mini series on the blog where I force myself to take a picture EVERY day.  We will get to that project later though...

Today I just want to write a quick recap on our past week, without pictures. :(

While hanging out at my parents house we did lots of wedding planning/crafting to get ready for my sister's wedding in June and the kids got lots of spoiling from Auntie Kelti, grandma, and grandpa.  I also got some spring shopping in which was so needed!

Then last Friday I was able to be there when Corinne took out her endowments at the Draper Temple.  Such  fun experience to be in the temple with your family.

After the temple I got to pick McKay up from the airport which was a treat after he had been gone for a week.  He even surprised me with my favorite perfume that I have been wanting for awhile now.  It smells divine if I do say so myself.  :)

Saturday after McKay got back to Salt Lake late Friday night we all traveled to Evanston for a bridal shower for our future sister-in-law, Sarah.  Liz (McKay's step mom) did a great job at hosting and did TONS of DIY decorations and party favors.  Don't even want to imagine how many hours everything took, but the results were beautiful and a special day with family.  Saturday was also McKay's Dad's birthday.  So is was nice spending the day out on the farm with him.  When I say spending the day on the farm, I mean, me in the house and the kids and dad's out on the farm.  Unfortunately my allergies don't love being out on the farm and since I am expecting taking lots of allergy meds is kind of out of the question so I just avoided the farm for the most part.  BUT the kids LOVED it and even after bringing her back inside several times, Adalyn just kept sneaking back to pet the animals and play with the dog.  That girl lives outside these days.

Saturday night we slept in Evanston and after a very full day crashed into bed and no one budged all night.  Sunday morning, bright and early we headed to Logan for baby Carter's baby blessing.  Carter is Jesse (McKay's brother) and Natalie's 2nd little boy.  He was so handsome for his blessing and even though our kids were a little out of control it was a nice meeting.  We are counting down the days till Jensen goes to nursery (less then 2 months).  The boy wont stop moving and so staying in a meeting is not really possible these days.  After church we ate at Jesse and Natalie's house.  The food was so good and the weather very nice too.

Sunday night we finally drove home after being gone for 8 days.  Home just feels good after being gone even if you have to go to the grocery store super early Monday morning because you are out of everything.  :)

Promise to take more pictures in the future!
