Going to the chapel and we're going to get married! (Or got married)

Hey fellow bloggers and stockers. Welcome to our blog I hope you feel right at home. Please feel free to kick back, relax, and check out our latest post (luckly this is our first one so you don't have much to catch up on) :) Yet unfortunetly I DO! Man, so much has happened in the last little while that I don't even really know where to start. So how about we start with the biggest most exciting event of all, OUR WEDDING!:) Just saying it puts a smile on my face. The day was truely perfect, cold and all. I loved having a winter wedding! Even though I did have to freeze for a while to take our outside photos. Our photographer, Camilla (her website is ciocophotography.com) did an so great that you can't even tell that we were practically standing in a windtunnel and my fingers only look frostbitten in a few of the pictures. No but seriously I only have good memories from the day.

So here is a quick run down of the days events. Oh and by the way this is mine(Kajsa) and McKay's blog but I will be doing the posting. I think McKay would think it would be too girly for him to have a blog and so the only things that you will be hearing from McKay will be in the stories that I tell about him :) (I love you McKay) Well anyways on with the wedding. So I wake up the morning of our wedding at 5:30. I showered and then got my hair done at 7 until about 9. Can I just tell you how much I loved my hair do! I truely felt so pretty and it stayed in all day! It was definetely nice to not have to worry about fixing it.

Once ready for the big day I rode with my mom and dad to the Draper temple. At this point I should probably have been feeling panicked, nervous, or scared. But I truely felt so much peace. I was excited to marry McKay and I had no doubt in my mind about whether he was the right one for me. I was prepared and it was exactly what I was suppose to be doing that day. As we pulled up to the temple McKay came out to greet me, which was exactly how it was suppose to be :). Then all the amazing stuff happened in the temple. I loved every minute of it. It was so neat to see all of our family together and I once again felt so much peace. The workers kept coming into the brides room and saying "We heard there was a bride in here" and then they would proceed to tell me how pretty I looked and how much they loved my dress. I ofcourse soaked it all in, but hey can you blame me? You only get to be the bride once in your life. After the cerimony we took some quick group shots outside. (thanks again everyone for sticking around even though it was freezing! It truely meant a lot to McKay and I)

After the temple we had the luncheon at Chuck-a-rama. It turned out beautifully thanks to Liz (McKay's mom) who decorated and arranged everything. Everyone truely seemed to enjoy the food, expecially since we were out of that cold weather! I loved the luncheon because it was my chance to really just hangout and talk with all my friends and family. It was so nice to meet the rest of McKay's family and I can't wait to continue spending more time with all of them. My cousin Dayton was especially cute the whole wedding day. He loved being with me and since he is so cute I loved hanging out with him too. And he made sure that we got lots of pictures together.

After the Luncheon we went straight to the stake center to check out what the decorator had done... And wow she did great. I loved the way that everything turned out and it was exactly how I had pictured it. I spent several minutes just looking around trying to remember every detail that was there. Up until that point I was worried about whether my colors would all look good together, but once I walked into that gym I fell in love with them all over again. Thanks again everyone that spent countless hours helping me and my family put the event together. It turned out great, and it was just another reminder about how important friends and family are in our lives. Before the reception started we took some more group photos with the families and bridesmaids. They all turned out great and I know I will love looking back at them in twenty years. Ok who am I kidding... I love looking at them now. :)

The rest of the night was standing in line talking to everyone. I just wished that I could have sat and talked to each person for hours. Everyone was so sweet and once again I was humbled at how lucky I was to have such great people in my life. After the line it was cutting the cake, throwing the boquet (and almost taking Harrison out! sorry again) tossing the garter, dancing and then leaving. Yes we left just like every other bride and groom without tasting any of our food (Thanks again Laurie for making all the food I heard it was amazing) Oh and also just like every other bride and groom our car was completely covered in oreos, silly string, and shaving cream. Needless to say a stop at the car wash and wendys was in order after leaving the reception. Thanks again to all who came and supported us. We are still in the process of writing our thank you notes, so don't give up on us yet!

And last but not least I can't thank Camilla Jones enough for taking all of these amazing photos. I am so pleased with how they turned out! Also I have to say a special thanks to my amazing and TALENTED mom. Thanks for all of your hard work and organization that you put into this wedding. It was such a success because of YOU! What a lucky daughter I am to have such supportive parents to help and guide me. Thank you for accepting and loving McKay almost as much as I do and thanks again for that beautiful quilt that you made for us, I love seeing it everyday. Thank you once again and I hope I can be at least half the woman that you are. Love You!
