Productivity

Hey everyone, not much has been going on this past week. Just the regular work schedule, except for Thursday. McKay took some time off from one of his jobs and we headed down to draper for my friend Carrie's wedding. It was so amazing to be in the sealing room and watch them be sealed for time and all eternity. It was also really cool because it was my first time going to a sealing that was not my own, and it just so happened to take place in the very same room that McKay and I were sealed in. This time it was much more relaxing, since I wasn't the one that everyone was staring at. Carrie looked beautiful and you could just feel the love that they have for each other. Congrats Carrie and Matt!!
Then on Saturday I got to spend some time with one of my sister-in-laws and we did freezer meals. It was our first time doing it, and since it is just McKay and I, I couldn't do too much, but I had a lot of fun doing it. I probably loved it the most for all the good girl talk that we got in, but the cooking wasn't bad either. Thanks Michelle! And on a side note, lately I have not really been in the mood to cook very much so it was very modivating to help me to start cooking more. We made a couple different kinds of enchiladas, homemade rolls (her recipe is SO SO SO GOOD) I told McKay that I will spend the rest of my life if I have to, learning how to make them because they taste THAT good. (but hopefully it won't take me that long)

For the rest of the weekend McKay and I went to the temple Saturday night and then today we went to church and hung out at home. So it has been pretty normal but good. Well that is all for today, this past week I have been pretty lazy so I am hoping for a more productive week next week, so look forward to all of my productive posts. :) Have a good night!

Sister Weekend

This past weekend Corinne came up and spent the night at our apartment. She was the first brave soul to sleepover, and luckily she said that it wasn't too ackward. :) Whether she really did have fun like she said or not I had lots of fun with her and I am glad that she came. Here are a few pictures from our adventures...

While she was here we decided to make yummy oreo balls. Man these things are to DIE FOR! Seriously!!!! McKay was AMAZED at how good they tasted.
Finished Product, while ours don't nessesarily look perfect they tasted wonderful!
Melanie also came over and hung out with us for a little while

Sometimes when Corinne and I get together we can get a little crazy... (sorry McKay that you had to see your wife acting that way) Hehe

After a fun day we had a sleepover in the living room and watched Leap Year and Seven Pounds

Thanks Corinne for the fun weekend! We hope you come again, and next time bring Mykelti with you, think of the fun we could have then! :) Hope everyone has a great day!

~More photos and weekend plans~

So a couple of days ago I told you about Corinne's resent photo shoot with Camilla, and I am back to inform you that there are more amazing photos of her on www.ciocophotography.com Here are two of my favorite ones, but you must really go see all of them cause they are BEAUTIFUL!

And guess who gets to spend the weekend with her, yep me, she is coming up to Logan and we are going to have an amazing weekend filled with shopping at a Mall in Layton, chick flicks, and yummy food. Yes boys you SHOULD be jealous... but don't worry it is only for one weekend, you can have her back next weekend. :)

My First Bridal Shower

No it wasn't MY bridal shower, but my first time hosting a bridal shower. It was actually for Carrie, who is a really good friend from high school. She is getting married on May 20th to an amazing guy who she met in an institute class (just like McKay and I) And I think it went really well for it being my first time! We had it at my parents house since I didn't really expect everyone to drive up to logan. :) It was so fun to see all my high school friends and catch up on each others lives. Mostly we talked about who was married, who was engaged, and who was dating who. (you know the usual girl talk) I made Brownie cake, which I love and I think everyone liked it too. We played one game and then opened all the fun, sometimes slightly inappropriate gifts. :) Thanks to everyone who came and Congrats Carrie I can't wait to see you get married next week!

Mother's Day 2010

~Mothers day/weekend was AMAZING~
Love thinking about and thanking all of the many wonderful women in my life. McKay and I have been so blessed to have such great mothers who love and support us.
This year we spent Saturday night at a wedding reception with Liz and some of McKay's siblings. Sunday morning we made breakfast for my mom, went to church with my family, and talked to Larissa on the phone.
Sunday afternoon and evening we had dinner at McKay's brothers house and hung out with his mom, brothers, sister in law, fun nephew, and darling neice.
We finished the day off with a trip to the park.
It was a beautiful day spent with wonderful people. Happy Mothers day!

That is all for today! Thanks for reading!

Summer Days

With the semester ending, it is on the summer plans! I am so excited to finally do things that I WANT to do, instead of HAVE to do. Some of my goals/plans are...

~Train for the Top of Utah marathon
~Read any and all the books that I want to!
~Do tons of fun preschool activities and build tons of block creations :)
~Help McKay survive working 80 hours a week
~Hang out with family every weekend! (haha I wish)
~Try making wheat bread on my own
~Deep clean our apartment
~Go Camping with our new tent (thanks Cannon Family)
~And...hopefully take tons of fun pictures so that I can stay updated on here

Well that is it for tonight, I hope everyone has fun summer plans too!

I can feel it! I think it really is almost summer... or at least summer vacation :)

Hey everyone, sorry about not writing for a while, but like most of you I have been focusing on school and finals. But with only one more final left this week, I am starting to feel the freedom. Last week was... well there is not really a nice way to put it, but lets just say it was nightmare material. We had Mac and Cheese for dinner twice in three days if that tells you anything. I was feeling the effects from my procrastination and no I did NOT like it. Yet I surprised myself with how much I was able to get done in such a short amount of time and still come out with pretty good grades. It is like my friend on facebook said, "it is amazing how little I can complete in I-------------------------------I this amount of time, and how much I can complete in I---I this amount of time. Maybe next semester I will learn my lesson (but I doubt it, I have been doing this since junior high :P)
Anyways, moving on with our lives, some things that have happened to us this past week, are we both started our new jobs, finished up classes, and planned our first trip back to Draper in over a month! So, I am back to being a working woman and so far it has been great. McKay not only started his daytime job, but he also found a night time job that he has also started training for. Yes folks McKay will be working 80 hours a week again, just like last summer. An upside to it though is he thinks that he will not have to work on the weekends. So once again, weekends will be my salvation. Thank Heavens! Oh and the Draper trip is on Mothers Day and we will probably be there for less than 24 hours, but it is a start. I hope that we can go back for an entire weekend soon, but we will just have to wait and see. Well that is all, have a good day everyone! Sorry there are no pictures today, maybe when we have more exciting lives. :)
