26 Weeks with Baby #2

Hey everyone hope you are having a great Monday.  I am normally not a Monday hater.  There is a part of me that enjoys getting back into routine and since I no longer work or go to school Mondays aren't that different from my weekend.  But today my house looks like a train wreck since I was sick this weekend (terrible food poisoning) and McKay was/is on a work trip I slacked and allowed Adalyn to play/get into anything and everything that her little body could reach and spread all contents from one end of the house to the other while I spent my time with the royal throne.  Can you say toilet paper in the living room (don't know why she loves that stuff)?  But in her defense she was overall very well behaved and I was one thankful mommy.  So please excuse me if I am not super excited about this Monday because in reality I just want to go back to bed and have a redo of the nice weekend that I was hoping for.

So today marks 26 weeks of pregnancy bliss.  :)  Ok maybe bliss isn't the right word...  But this pregnancy has overall felt like it is going fairly quickly.  I am much more patient for his arrival than I was for Adalyn's.  Of course I want him to come and I am very happy that he is, but I am also grateful for this time that I get to have with just Adalyn and there is still lots of things that I have to get done before his grand entrance.  Wait... wasn't I just saying in my last post that I was SO excited to have another newborn in the house?  Yes, yes I was but apparently I still have mixed feelings and today I am feeling patient and content with what I have.

Here are a few facts/tidbits about this pregnancy...

-He moves ALL the time.  Kicks me all day.  Right now it is fine, but I am scared for when he gets stronger.
-I still feel great (besides the food poisoning)
-I highly recommend eating smart and exercising during a pregnancy it has made ALL the difference for me between Adalyn's pregnancy and this one.
-All my maternity pants and some shirts are still too big (they are all stretched out from the final weeks of my last pregnancy) My regular pants are starting to not fit anymore and I don't know what to wear?  I wasn't expecting to have to buy new clothes for the "middle" months.
-We think that we have his name picked out (McKay called him by it the other day and so it sounds like that is the name that he has chosen) though there are still a couple others floating around.  I kind of want to wait and see him to see if it is the right name, but I might get impatient and just go with it.
-And as far as we know everything is going well and he is continuing to grow.  We will have another ultrasound here in a few weeks that will tell us more.

Here are a few pictures from last Friday that McKay took for me.  As you can tell he is definitely growing :)

And I didn't take a "26" week pregnancy picture with Adalyn but if you go back to this post or this one you can see a few pictures.  But no I will not re post those pictures.  Once was enough. Definitely not my favorite. :P

Well that is all for today.  Hope you are all having a great week!

  1. You look great Kajsa. Can't believe you're already 26 weeks. Its going by fast. Sorry you've been sick. Moms should be immune to sickness. Especially when they have young kids! Because it doesn't matter how sick you get....the kids require JUST AS MUCH attention.
