This was a great weekend, I was motivated and we got a lot of things done.
1. Stained baby boy's antique dresser/changing table
2. Cooked lots in the kitchen- I went a little crazy and made a batch of freezer black beans, two batches of banana muffins, fiesta chicken stuffed bell peppers, blueberry breakfast cake, 4 loaves of whole wheat bread, and curry pineapple chicken and rice
3. Finally hung my darling plate rack in the kitchen along with hanging a few other odds and ends
4. Got two awesome "big" girl carseats for Adalyn for a total of $8. Yay for having a carseat in each car (no more musical carseats)
5. Cleaned both bathrooms
6. Planned two lessons for church
7. Organized Adalyn's toys for the 12th time (we may have landed on something that will work for us instead of them being a pile on the living room floor)
8. Snuggled with my two loves :)
9. Had a fun at Zumba saturday morning with all my old ward friends
10. Watched Elder Hollands talk late Sunday night after Addie went to bed and then stayed up discussing it with husband till midnight. Good times :)
I am sure loving these productive weekends that we are having and I am especially loving having so much energy. (P.S. 25 weeks pregnant today! Thinking about whether I want to be induced or not... opinions?)
Not. The risks to both you and the baby go up all across the board with induction. Doctors offer it because it's convenient for them, not because it's good for you.
ReplyDeleteBut that's just my two cents :) Can't wait to see the little guy!

If you can go without being induced i reccommend that. I don't know if you were induced with Adalyn or not, but it the epidural has any problems and you can feel any contractions, they are the worst contractions EVER. BUT, epidurals usually work when people get them....so if you are just sick of being pregnant....go for it. It's your body and your baby! I say do what you want...the baby is usally fine.
ReplyDeleteI hope you didn't buy those car seats used! Used car seats unless they were from someone you know and can trust that they weren't in an accident are not safe! Sorry I'm car seat paranoid! A lot of people don't know about the used issue. Seriously not trying to be evil I think you are a super awesome mommy to a sweet girl!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED being induced for SO many reasons... Convenient, I could plan it out, nice for babysitter purposes, you can make sure your husband will be there, you can pick a fun birthday, etc. But now that I've gone on my own one time, I really, really loved knowing that the baby was coming when THEY were ready & my labor really was SO much nicer (less intense & more exciting to have a STORY about WHEN you went into labor!). That being said, I'll never think less of a person for being induced, because depending on your situation & personality, it can really make or break your labor experience. How wonderful to have options! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteImpressive that you were able to get so much done. Glad you're feeling so energized. You can come stock my freezer with meals :) And how nice that you don't have to move carseats between vehicles. We're still doing that!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Michelle completely. Being induced worked out great for me and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. But it IS fun to have your own story of when you went into labor etc.
