My Favorite Wall

Remember when I told you about my wall above my piano a few months ago?

Remember when I told you I could not decide what to do with it ever since we moved in 2 years ago.

Well I figured it out.

And, I LOVE it.

Honestly it is one of those things that I love so much that I don't even care if it is in style or if anyone else loves it.  Kinda like basketball shorts and a T-shirt on a Friday night (way too comfortable to worry about if it is in style)

Also, one of the best parts about it, is that I used up lots of my decorations that were just sitting in boxes in my basement.  Last month I went through my decorations and layed them all out on the floor and said that I either needed to use them or get rid of them because storing them was pointless.  We have only been married for 3 1/2 years, but we have quite a collection of decorations.  So in an attempt to use some of them I decided to create a gallery wall above my piano that incorporated a few things.  And I love it (oh I already said that...)

I did buy a letter P (For Pace) and a new wreath for the window, but that is it.  Everything else came from our hoarding piles boxes.

P.S. Of course it is better in person since I have a terrible camera.

The two pictures with words are the Proclamation to the Family and The Living Christ.

We have a lot of nice pictures hanging up in our house, but not a lot of pictures of us/our family so I was excited to be able to add some personal touches to our living room.  The babies in the pictures are obviously Adalyn and Jensen both at 6 months old.  Everywhere we go the first thing everyone comments on is their smiles so I wanted my favorite smiley pictures of each of them hung up on the wall.  Love looking at these pictures while I do the dishes.

The temple picture is of the Draper, UT temple.  It was taken by a family friend and given to us on our wedding day.

Have I said that I LOVE having pictures of US on the walls!  I love it so much I may go picture crazy and just start hanging them everywhere ;)  Seriously though, I have had to tone down my desire to hang a gallery wall in every room.  I am about to hang one in Jensen's room, but hopefully that will be our last one.... or not, we will see :)

I love it!  Have a good day!

  1. Oh my goodness. I love it so much! I remember you posting about not loving your space above the piano and thinking that I thought that it was very cute. But honestly, this blew me away. It could be in a magazine - it's so perfect. I might just have to join you on the gallery wall bandwagon. (I'm playing with a few ideas myself.) I really love how it isn't symmetrical, necessarily, but it's nicely balanced. Great job!

  2. Super cute! It's SUCH a nice feeling to finally be able to "figure out" a space that you once thought was too awkward to be cute... But it turned out AMAZING, so great job!
