Today Jensen is one month old. This has been an exciting month filled with all sorts of learning experiences as we/I got used to having a new baby in the house. It was the same when Adalyn was born and I suppose it will continue to be this way with each new baby... Each day I loved on a deeper level and was really able to evaluate my life and my relationship with my savior and family as I held my sweet newborn who is perfect in every way and was just recently in heaven with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Such. a. special. time. Of course in now feels like he has been in our home forever and we have all adjusted to having him here.
On Thursday I took him and Adalyn to the doctors (Jensen for his 4 week appointment and Adalyn was sick). He weighed 9 lbs. 10 oz. and was 22.5 inches long. Apparently I am feeding him pure fat because the kid is only eating every 3-4 hours (sometimes 5 if I forget to wake him up in time) during the day and every 7-9 hours at night and he is still growing like a weed. Like the doctor said, he wont be a small child. :)
Besides growing, he is eating well and LOVES to be held. Doesn't like things to get too quiet during the day (don't worry Adalyn keeps the noise level up) and loves listening to music. We also just set up his swing yesterday and he really likes it. He is a wiggler and his arms are always by his head. He may not be loving his binky for too much longer because he spits it out a lot and sometimes will even gag if I try and give it to him. For now he takes it about half the time so we continue to try it because he will have it sometimes.
We are excited for his first week at church next Sunday which will also be his blessing day. So far he has only been out of the house a few times since it is so cold so we are looking forward to venturing out of the house alittle bit more this next month. Nothing too major since it is still quite a hassle to go anywhere with a newborn. This week I am also going to start babysitting again so he will have a new baby to "play" with.
We are so glad that he is here and is healthy, I am happy that I am NOT pregnant anymore, and we can't wait to see what month two has in store for us... Have a great day!
He is so handsome! I hope Adalyn gets feeling better and it doesn't go around. Best of luck in month #2.
