He is slowly coming out of the sleepy stage and is awake more often. He loves to be around people when he is awake or just listening to music that is commonly being played throughout our day. His "fussy" time of day is around 8 pm until he goes to bed at 10:30pm. He likes to be held at that time and of course have his binky (yes we have another binky lover, thank heavens!). But honestly that is the perfect time for him to be fussy because Adalyn has just gone to bed and I will often just turn on a movie or grab a book and snuggle with him.
So far he seems to have his nights figured out and will usually give me a 5 hour stretch of sleep with an occasional 6-7 hour stretch when I am lucky. So basically he gets up once a night and then wakes again around 8 am when Adalyn wakes up. We hope he continues to keep this schedule. :)
2 week appointment with the doctor went well. The doctor's office was very sweet and tried to move us through quickly so that we didn't have to stay in the office long since everyone and their dog has the flu these days. They even let us go straight to the back so we didn't have to be in the waiting room. He weighed 8 lbs 9 oz which is quite a bit of weight gain from his 7 lbs. 15 oz. at birth. Everything else looked great also and he is staying healthy so far, which I am very grateful for.
We love our Jensen! It has been fun having a little boy and a slight learning experience ( we will just say that diaper changes were pretty interesting that first week). Here are a few pictures... sorry a lot of them are just of his head, he is wrapped in a blanket almost all day since it has been so cold.
Bath time cutie and a tired mama!
Binky lover!
Can't believe that it has only been two weeks! We are glad to have him here. Have a great day!
He is so handsome! Glad to hear all is going well!
ReplyDeleteAre you getting used to 2 kids yet?! It's quite an adjustment at first, but once he gets a little older, it will all be worth it!
ReplyDeleteMichelle I was REALLY nervous the first day that I was home by myself. But once we got up and moving I realized that it was the same routine that we have been doing for the past few months (since I was babysitting) and since then it has had its ups and downs, but really has been a smoother adjustment than I expected. But I am excited for when they get older so that they can play together. :)
