Saturday Projects

Hey everybody, here is another preschool post again. Sorry if you are sick of hearing about it, but that is all I am thinking about right now so bare with me for another week. Pretty please? (here is where I just pretend that you said yes) So anyway today I went to a five hour CDA class in the morning and then this afternoon McKay and I decided that we needed a project to keep us entertained. So we headed over to good old D.I. to see if we could find anything to fix, create, change, and/or paint. When we were heading there we were both thinking along the ideas of something for the house, but as I said previously my mind is in preschool mode so this is what I/we found instead...
A cute little table and chairs to go in the dramatic play area at work! It was prefect! We brought it home, McKay sanded the old paint down and then next week we are going to repaint it either red or purple.
Also while McKay was finishing up the table sanding I started working on another project that I had planned a few weeks ago. It was with wooden letters that spelled out the name of my classroom that I am going to hang over the door. I painted them purple and then tied the CUTEST light blue ribbon. I love the way that they turned out...

Along with our projects we also made dinner somewhere in the mix and it just looked so pretty that I just HAD to take a picture of it. (and with our schedules these days it is pretty rare that I even planned dinner and it is even more rare that we were both there eating at the same time) MMMM! Tasty!

That is about it folks, McKay is off to work today for the second, third, or maybe fourth time... I loose track. But special thanks McKay for visiting a few different craft stores today, just because I wanted to look around and for getting just as excited about preschool projects as I do. Also thank you, thank you for cleaning the bathroom and for doing all the dishes. I am one lucky girl. :)

Well, that is all for tonight, I am off to watch a movie... Thanks for reading!

  2. Kajsa, you are going to do great with your preschool! I am impressed with the excitement you have for your class! If you're interested, when we come up next week I could bring the box full of old preschool lesson plans I have from my days at the Children's House and let you look through that and see if there's anything helpful to you in there.
