16 Weeks

I am currently 16 weeks along and we just had our second doctors appointment today. Everything is looking great, and I just can't tell you what a wonderful thing it is to hear the heartbeat! Such a relief each time! We are already so in love with our little munchkin and can't wait till next month when we get to find out whether it is a him or a her...
Also, this past saturday we went to Babys-R-Us (along with the rest of SLC it was packed!) and bought a carseat and stroller. I have had this slight obsession with baby accessories and so I was in heaven! I also enjoyed just watching people as they studied, tested, and discussed which carseat/stroller to buy. Most of us were first time parents and we were all alittle clueless on which one was the best (after all these carseats will be holding our most precious cargo) In the end after much debate and serious test driving we settled on this Chicco. Good choice or not?
Honestly I was more for a Graco but they didn't really have a pattern that I loved so I went with this very simple green and gray one which is my style these days. (but don't you worry if we have a girl it will definitely get some pink and frills added to it) Well that is about it! have a good night!

Our Insane Week

Last week was VERY busy for the Pace household and I am just starting to recover. No nothing went wrong, and most of the stuff was very good and exciting, but lots of exciting things wrapped into 1 week can = Craziness! So instead of breaking Valentines day, Larissa's Homecoming, my birthday, and our weekend in Draper into different posts I am just going to combine them into one. I hope you don't get too confused!
First: Valentines day (no pictures) McKay made me breakfast that morning then I went to work and had some fun parties with the kids (fun for them/exhausting for me). That night we went out to eat at Olive Garden (my choice ofcourse) and then bought a new movie to watch. Simple, but after a very extravagant Christmas it was just what we needed. McKay gave me some necklaces to replace one that had broken and I gave him a free weekend to go skiing.
Second (the best one): Picking Larissa up from the Airport- My older sister just got back from her mission in Houston. She loved it! but we are SO excited to have her home again. Just for kicks and giggles here is the last picture of her and I before she left...
(I was single, not pregnant, and a lot thinner than I am today) Flash forward to last week...
This was our first picture of our entire family since McKay and I got married. So in 18 monthes I got engaged, married, and pregnant. Pretty crazy! but it sure has been a fun ride. Here are a few more pictures from the airport...

After all the hugging and laughing we headed to my parents house, she got set apart and then we went out to dinner. She seemed just like her normal self except that she HAD to have someone go everywhere with her, but she is working on that ;) haha We love you Larissa and are sure glad that you are home.

Third: I got my hair cut, not just trimmed, but really cut. I took off six inches! I love it and McKay says that he does too. Thanks Kelsey for the great cut!

Fourth: My 21st Birthday. Thursday was my birthday, and I finally became a adult :) funny story: I told the kids at work that I was finally a adult and one of them asked me "So yesterday you were a kid?" "How were you able to be our teacher if you were just a kid?" haha :)
That morning McKay gave me all of the Harry Potter Movies and I opened a few cards from my family and Grandparents. At work they got me a cake (the kids loved that) Then that night I had tons of errands and meetings but luckily in the middle I was able to stop at Wendys for a quick dinner and have my favorite thing these days (french fries, they are amazing!) Later that night as I was just about to collapse one of my meetings got canceled so lucky for me I was able to go home and spend a couple hours with McKay and go to bed early! Loved it! (oh and we took a few pictures but I just do not look so great in them so they will NOT be posted sorry!)

fifth(and final thing) Hang in there, we are almost to the end!) I just want to say that over the weekend we went to Draper for Larissa's homecoming talk. She did amazing! and I was tons of fun catching up with family at the dinner afterwards. Thanks Larissa for your example in serving a mission and I look forward to many more girl chats and fun times! Thanks for reading!

Cuteness Alert

So this past weekend we went and visited my parents. While we were there the Fry family got together for a party on Sunday because my aunt and her new baby came out to Utah for a quick visit. This was our first time meeting the latest addition to the Fry family. She was DARLING and it was so fun to have a baby around. She was so good and let us all pass her around, and boy did we! We sure think she is pretty cute! Here she is with grandma...
Here are some of the girls with them (My aunt is the one in the gray sweater) oh and please ignore my stomach, not such a flattering picture :P
As always the food was yummy and the company even better. :)
If there is food...we will come
But ofcourse while most of the women folk were upstairs passing babies and chatting the men/boys were found near a TV watching The Game. If they don't look too happy in this picture they were probably Steeler fans. Sorry about the loss guys...
Well that is about it for tonight, but before we go here are a few more... Me and my perfectly amazing husband, what a blessing he is in my life Him and his "twin" they happened to be wearing similar shirts that night
And a couple more of some very cute cousins Have a good night!

Pregnancy Details

Well if you are a guy you might not find this blog post very interesting but feel free to read if you want. (I promise I wont say anything that will gross you out.) But I just thought for future reference for me and my family I will post about how the pregnancy has gone thus far...

To start out lets go back to the beginning,
-We found out that we were pregnant on December 5, 2010
-I was already getting sick at that point, but luckily it hasn't gotten too much worse since then.
-I was about five weeks when we found out. (we actually took a test a week before but it came up negative so we were REALLY shocked when this test came up positive) Here we are that AMAZING night :) Oh and here are some pictures of the positive proof too.

Well after that night I actually tried not to think about it too much because I didn't want to spill the beans (I am not so great at keeping secrets, but I knew that we wanted to wait to tell our families on Christmas so I tried to be good)
Week 7 we went on our anniversary trip to Vas Vegas and that was probably my worst week of sickness. I don't know if it was actually because I had time to think about it or what, but I did NOT feel good. The trip was still fun despite me feeling ill. Thanks McKay for putting up with me :) Here I am at seven weeks-

So we actually made it, we kept it a secret all the way until we went to my parents house for Christmas and boy were they surprised :) Corinne cried and everyone screamed! It was so fun! We told them by giving them a gift that had a bottle, some bibs that said I love Grandma and a baby toy. It took them a second to figure it out, but they finally got it. :) We did the same gift for McKay's mom and for his Dad. Everyone was very excited especially since I have two sister-in-laws that are due about two monthes before me. Yay for cousins so close in age! So needless to say Christmas was extra special this year.
Well that basically sums up what has been going on at the Pace household the last few monthes. I am about twelve weeks now and have my first doctors appointment this week (yay for being done with the first trimester) The morning sickness is not too bad as long as I eat. A LOT. Sleeping is getting to be a little bit of a challenge but hopefully I will figure it out soon.

P.S. (just have to add this in there real fast before I am done for record keeping and so you don't all think EVERYTHING is hunky dorry... (is that a word?)) I am not worried about when the baby comes too much. I have taken care of lots of different babies and changed more diapers in a day than I hope that I will have to when I am only taking care of one baby at a time rather than 8. But I have NO idea what I am doing during this whole pregnancy thing. And yes if you are wondering I am scared to death! Hopefully I don't mess things up too much with this first one and then maybe I will figure things out by the next one. I am just SO grateful that my Heavenly Father is allowing me the opportunity to raise one of his sweet sons or daughters and I will do the very best that I can. Well that is all, if any of you have any advice on pregnancy at all please feel free to share. I am all ears! Have a good night!

Christmas 2010

For Christmas this past year we spent Christmas eve and Christmas morning with my family. Christmas Eve morning we went to the Cannon Family breakfast at Jen and Ray's house. It was so fun and nice to catch up with all of the cousins and their families. After the breakfast the girls went to see Tangled while the boys went shopping and to True Grit. That night we did the traditional Christmas Eve performance and opened our jammies. Thanks dad!

On Christmas day we opened gifts with my family and had breakfast. Then we just hung out until that evening when we went to McKay's Moms house for Christmas dinner. While there we hung out, opened gifts, and acted out the Christmas story. It was so fun to see everyone!

The day after Christmas we headed up to Evanston to visit McKay's dad and the rest of his siblings. First we went to church and then had dinner at their house. Tons of people were there and it was so fun to hang out. His parents spoiled us rotten and we loved seeing the kids open their gifts. Sadly the ONLY picture that I got from that day was when we were playing Ticket to Ride, but it was still a very fun day. :)
Well that is all from our Christmas adventures, we didn't really do much for New Years so I don't really have anything to blog about that. (We went to bed before Midnight!) I know I know, horrible. So I guess that brings us up to date on just about everything. (oh wait I did just remember something else that I still need to blog about) So check back tomorrow and hopefully I will be on top of it! Have a good night!

First Anniversary

Well hello my long lost friends, ever wonder if you would see me again? yea I was wondering too. But I am here...for now...I don't know how long it will last, but I can promise that someday I will be back. So we are going to play catch up. So come with me back to last year, December 15, 2010 to be exact. This was our one year anniversary and a very good day. Except that McKay had finals and I had work... but oh well. We didn't do much that day since we were going to Las Vegas in a couple of days to celebrate more. But we did do the tradition of eating our wedding cake that has sat in my parents freezer ALL year. I had one bite and McKay had a couple pieces (he doesn't really care what the food is as long as it has sugar). But surprisingly it wasn't too bad considering how old it was. Thanks Shari again for making it!

And that was the extent of our anniversary evening. Pretty exciting. :) not...

But have no fear we made up for it a couple days later when we headed out of freezing Logan and went to rainy Las Vegas (it rained the whole time we were there) it was actually quite hilarious seeing everyone in their heavy coats and snow boots while we were walking around in shorts and short sleeves because compared to Logan it was very warm. While we were in Las Vegas we ate out, a lot, which was good and bad. We also did some Christmas shopping, saw Harry Potter, went to M&M world and best of all we went to the The Lion King musical. Can I just say that it was AMAZING! We loved everything about the play and it was definitely worth the 100 bucks a ticket.

The first steak that I have ever ordered at a resturant

Also while on our trip we visited the Las Vegas temple on Sunday. It was pretty windy that day but we didn't mind because it just reminded us of our own wedding day...haha

Well that is about it for our anniversary. After four fun filled days in Las vegas we headed back to my parents house to start the Christmas festivities. Have a good night!
