First: Valentines day (no pictures) McKay made me breakfast that morning then I went to work and had some fun parties with the kids (fun for them/exhausting for me). That night we went out to eat at Olive Garden (my choice ofcourse) and then bought a new movie to watch. Simple, but after a very extravagant Christmas it was just what we needed. McKay gave me some necklaces to replace one that had broken and I gave him a free weekend to go skiing.
Second (the best one): Picking Larissa up from the Airport- My older sister just got back from her mission in Houston. She loved it! but we are SO excited to have her home again. Just for kicks and giggles here is the last picture of her and I before she left...
(I was single, not pregnant, and a lot thinner than I am today) Flash forward to last week...
This was our first picture of our entire family since McKay and I got married. So in 18 monthes I got engaged, married, and pregnant. Pretty crazy! but it sure has been a fun ride. Here are a few more pictures from the airport...
After all the hugging and laughing we headed to my parents house, she got set apart and then we went out to dinner. She seemed just like her normal self except that she HAD to have someone go everywhere with her, but she is working on that ;) haha We love you Larissa and are sure glad that you are home.
Third: I got my hair cut, not just trimmed, but really cut. I took off six inches! I love it and McKay says that he does too. Thanks Kelsey for the great cut!
Fourth: My 21st Birthday. Thursday was my birthday, and I finally became a adult :) funny story: I told the kids at work that I was finally a adult and one of them asked me "So yesterday you were a kid?" "How were you able to be our teacher if you were just a kid?" haha :)
That morning McKay gave me all of the Harry Potter Movies and I opened a few cards from my family and Grandparents. At work they got me a cake (the kids loved that) Then that night I had tons of errands and meetings but luckily in the middle I was able to stop at Wendys for a quick dinner and have my favorite thing these days (french fries, they are amazing!) Later that night as I was just about to collapse one of my meetings got canceled so lucky for me I was able to go home and spend a couple hours with McKay and go to bed early! Loved it! (oh and we took a few pictures but I just do not look so great in them so they will NOT be posted sorry!)
fifth(and final thing) Hang in there, we are almost to the end!) I just want to say that over the weekend we went to Draper for Larissa's homecoming talk. She did amazing! and I was tons of fun catching up with family at the dinner afterwards. Thanks Larissa for your example in serving a mission and I look forward to many more girl chats and fun times! Thanks for reading!
Your hair is so cute! You did take off a lot, but it still looks really long :). So fun to have your sister home! Good luck to her adjusting to real life! Glad you had a good birthday!!!
