This week I was in a rut. You know those "My life isn't very exciting right now...I need a change, BUT I don't have any energy to do it... I changed a bazillion diapers, cleaned the house, made dinner, and did the laundry and no one cares so why did I do it?" kind of weeks. Everyone gets down on themselves every once in awhile. But yesterday I decided I was done being moody and needed to shape up/change. All day long I literally felt like I was pulling myself out of a hole. My body and mind fought it, but finally by last night I felt like I had made it out (this nice weather that we are having was a huge help) I was excited that I had been able to consciously make a change like that. While I was choosing (or forcing myself) to be happy I was reminded of this quote by Martha Washington...
"I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may be; for I have learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our disposition and not upon our circumstances.”
Martha Washington
It felt good and I am excited for the weekend. Up first, Temple date with McKay (since those are the ONLY dates seem to go on these days I am looking forward to it :) Happy Weekend Everyone! (Well I might be back at some point this weekend in celebration of our cute 7 month who is crawling and becoming an avid thumb sucker (oh my!))
