What you can learn from Despicable Me 2

Well hello.  I am happy to be writing.  The past couple of months I have been feeling pretty down and not very interested in doing much.  Every aspect of life seemed a little overwhelming so not a lot of picture taking or blog writing has been happening.  I was being pretty ungrateful and little whiney, but after a few weeks of being pretty sick with the stomach flu we are slowly pulling out of the fog and coming back to reality.

So today I snapped some cute pictures of the kids and tried to appreciate the beauty/cuteness around me.

So grateful that kids are so forgiving.  They love us even when we don't give them our best.  This week I have tried to give them my best and we have all been happier because of it.

Trying on mom's boots.  This girl is all about wearing mom's clothes these days.

Oh and what can you learn from Despicable Me 2?  Well Adalyn is slightly in love with the movie.  None of us had even seen the Despicable Me movies until a couple months ago when Jensen was given the movie for his birthday.  Adalyn fell in love with it and asks every day to watch it.  Personally I don't see any point it watching those movies because their is a lot of mindless/dumb violence and a very shallow plot.  But today I discovered that there is some cuteness that can come from the movies.  Yesterday McKay taught Adalyn the poem that Agnes quotes about a mother in the movie and it definitely melts my heart when I hear her say it.   :)

If you haven't seen the movie here is a clip of it.  Skip to about 1:30 to see her "toast" to her new mom.

McKay and Adalyn's version has him saying one line and then her saying the next.  I tried to get it on video but she was pretty quite during it so it is hard to tell what she was saying.  But this is how it goes...

McKay: She Kisses my boo boos
Adalyn: She Braids my hair
McKay: We love you mothers
Adalyn: Everywhere (eewhere)
McKay: My mommy Kajsa
Adalyn: Is beyond compare.

Beyond compare is my favorite part :)

Oh and she was quoting it for me while she was eating spaghetti.  Cutest messy face ever!

Thanks McKay and Adalyn for making me feel so special.  I love you!
