My parents still had work and Mykelti had school while we were there so we entertained ourselves during the day and then played with them at night. We fit tons of things in while we were there, and I don't think we have had such an eventful week since Christmas of 2011. :) Here are a few of the things that we did...
*Saturday We visited Gandma Pace early Saturday morning before McKay left on his trip and went to see the ducks with her. We forgot Adalyn's coat in Draper so grandma gave her one of her coats to wear and then she tied it on her with a scarf. I REALLY wish that we had taken a picture because she looked hilarious in it. McKay and I could not stop laughing, but Adalyn didn't seem to mind being tied up until she fell down while she was walking and couldn't get back up.
Taz and Holly's Wedding. My cousin (he is only 3 months younger than me and we went to the same school all growing up because we lived a few blocks away from each other) got married on March 9th. It was a beautiful day and everything went well. They are the worlds cutest couple. Seriously. We are very excited for them! It was also fun to see lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins that we don't get to see very often.
*Sunday McKay left for his trip and we had a Fry family party. Visiting, watching Adalyn do her thing, yummy food and basketball all made it a good day. Here are a few attempts at some group pictures with some of the cousins.
*Monday we hung out at my parents home while everyone worked
*Tuesday we went to Build-a-Bear and Adalyn got her first bear from there. Growing up I LOVED that place and still have my bear and her clothes (yes I was just barely a kid, like yesterday, so build-a-bear was around then) so this was maybe just as fun for me as it was for her. She is still too young to really care about dressing her bear up in clothes, but she loved giving it an air bath and giving it kisses. So cute!
*Wednesday we went to Ogden to visit Corinne at school. Side note: She just got accepted into the Weber State's nursing program! So Cool! While there we went on a lunch date (love these and wish we could do them more often) and then to the park. Such beautiful weather in Utah all week. I actually got a small sun burn which I wore proudly when we got back to cold and windy Idaho. :)
Um yeah she is pretty...
Addie is in the purposely not look at the camera stage so this is what you get...
*Thursday we went to Provo to visit Larissa at school and go on a lunch and park date with her (everyone needs their time with the niece and nephew) :)
That night we drove to Aunt Libby and Uncle Craig's house to have dinner and watch Trevor open his mission call. So fun to be a small part of this mission excitement that is going through the whole church. Trevor also had TWO other friends opening their calls that night. The church has definitely been busy giving out calls. I guessed that he was going to Brazil/South America but he will actually be serving in the Mexico Monterrey East mission and speaking Spanish. Good luck Trevor!
*Friday was a low key day getting ready for Daddy to come back. He got back that night and we had a family dinner and then crashed into bed. Everyone was pretty exhausted from the week.
*Saturday #2 McKay went to his mom's house again and helped her do a few things around her yard and then he and I went on our monthly date before we headed for home. We went to Ikea and then rock climbing. We bought a few things at Ikea such as finger puppets for church for Adalyn, new bibs that will hopefully be easier to clean than our old ones, cheap white picture frames for wedding pictures in our room, and a salad spinner. pretty random things I know, but we had fun just looking around and finding some things that we needed. McKay LOVED having me come rock climbing and has been begging me for months to go with him. It was hard and kind of scary to me, but I am glad I was able to do something that HE wanted to do since he does so much for me.
Then sadly the week came to an end and we packed up and headed home. The kids did great both ways in the car and were really well behaved for mommy the whole time McKay was gone. Thanks mom and dad for all of your help with the kids all week and letting McKay and I sneak away on a date at the end. Well that is all for today (a star for you if you are still reading), have a good day!

My brother looks like a goon in that first picture from Trevor's mission call. haha
ReplyDeleteMelissa's brother looks like a goon, and I look like a chubby bubby with a lazy eye in the 3rd picture. But hey, I guess that's the joy of pictures!
