1 month old

Adalyn had her 1 month appointment at the doctors yesterday. Technically though she won't be a month old till this weekend (phew! I thought that seemed a little fast ;) Her stats are as follows... (kinda funny that we post these, definitely won't be posting my "stats" anytime soon, sorry Adalyn I will only do it for the first year of your life)

Weight: 10lbs exactly, she is in the 76 percentile
Length: 22 inchs- 80 percentile
Head: 15 1/2 inchs- 80 something percentile

A few other fun things about Adalyn...

She is starting to be more awake
She is waking up about once a night (usually it is around the time McKay leaves for work, so secretly I think she just wants to say good bye)
She is getting pretty good at holding her head up but isn't very stable yet
She LOVES the sound of my voice :) She will sit and listen to McKay and I talk for a long time
Likes to just be with us, crys when we leave her alone unless she is asleep
Started out as a binky girl but will only suck on it occasionally now so we will see what she decides to do.
LOVES her vibrating bouncer. THANK YOU THANK YOU Brent and Heather it is a life saver! I told McKay yesterday that if we had the money I would put one of those in every room in my house.
Doesn't like her swing (maybe next month)
Enjoys being dressed and getting dressed (a girl after my own heart)
Gets fussy in the evenings, thank heavens that McKay is home at that point to trade off walking the hallway with :)

Well that is about it, she is healthy and happy. It is amazing what she has taught us in a few short weeks. I am learning so much about myself, families, joy, and God's plan for us on this earth. I am so grateful that I get to stay home with her and work on being a mother. McKay wonders each night about how I do it all day long (he says it would drive him crazy). I just say it is a good thing you love your job and I love mine. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
