I love my husband...I really do :)

So the other day my mom and I were talking on the phone and we were discussing when we each thought that this baby should come (you know if by some crazy reason we got to decide when she came, doesn't happen that way but it is still fun to dream about...and I do, a lot these days) Anyways back to the story... I said my ideal day, which changes daily depending on my mood so I don't even remember what I said. She said what day would work best for her schedule since she is being amazing and coming to stay with us for the first week. I think she said the first week of August. Which I am great with because that is still before my due date.

So later that night I decided to ask McKay what day he would like. Hoping for him to at least say a day that was BEFORE my due date (We are talking the IDEAL day here, not what will ACTUALLY happen. I mean he lives with me, can't he SEE how misrable I feel sometimes and how I long for the day that I can actually sit up straight without cutting off circulation to my feet?) But no he chooses the 12th of August two days AFTER my due date. So me, trying to stay calm ask him WHY he choose that day. He then proceeds to tell me that it is actually a very selfish reason (McKay selfish? in what world?) He wanted her to come as late as possible because he wanted my attention all to himself for as long as possible...I think we might have some jealously issues (and I thought you didn't get those until the second child comes) You think I won't pay any attention to you once our cute and cuddly baby is here and I get to play dress up ALL day long? hmm... maybe, just maybe :)

SO in the end I am ok with his answer, he justified it and it was a good reminder to me that even AFTER the baby comes I need to still focus on my marriage. But what he doesn't realize is that he is going to be wrapped around her little finger just as much as me. :) But no matter when she decides to come we are excited to meet her and start figuring out this whole parenting stuff. And thank you McKay for taking such good care of me through this whole pregnancy. Have a good day everyone!
