Funny, no wait... Darling story :)

So I don't really share a lot of funny stories from work on here, mostly because I have usually forgotten them by the time night comes around. But here is one that I can't help but share with everyone because it was one of those moments that you go "Oh yeah, THIS is why I love my job" It was a needed moment and I am very thankful for it. So here it goes...

A couple of days ago when I walked into my classroom in the morning a little 5 year old boy comes running over to me and starts yelling
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE (at this point I was wondering what in the world he wanted) PLEASE, PLEASE PPPLLLEEEAAASSSSEEE!!!! Can I marry you when I get older?!
(HAHA! this is where I stopped myself from laughing because he was dead serious, I couldn't even use the excuse that he was too young because he DID clarify that he would wait till he got older...)
But I figured I had really better straighten him out because I don't think McKay would be very happy if I had said yes ;)
So I kindly held out my left hand for a visual and sweetly told him that I was actually already married.
He looked at my ring for a second and then said "Darn it!" Then he proceeds to gives me a big hug and says "But I STILL Love you!"
Melt my heart! Needless to say he was one of my favorites for the day :) (but pretend I didn't say that because as a teacher I do not get to have favorites...oh well we are all human)

  1. How cute! As a teacher is okay to have favorites. We all do secretly even when we pretend we don't. We just have to be fair!

  3. Awe, there's nothing sweeter than that! What a cute little boy.

I love your Christmas tree! Its huge. I remember the first tree Chad and I had in our little apartment....it was half that size. But we still loved it just the same.

  4. That is so cute. What a cutie! And I think it is perfectly fine to have favorites, as long as the favorite child status rotates.
