Lava Hot Springs Family Reunion 2014

About a month ago we went to a family reunion at Lava Hot Springs with some of McKay's extended family.  Lava is relatively close to where we live and we adore their kiddie pool so we were excited to go.

Originally we were going to go Wednesday August 6th after McKay got off work, but it was raining pretty hard that night so we opted to wait out the storm at home and leave for lava in the morning.

Thursday morning we all arrived and while it was still on the chilly side it wasn't raining anymore so we were happy that the weather wasn't ruining all of our fun plans.  yay!  We headed straight to the pools.  The kids had a blast playing in the water and I didn't mind getting in the water either since the water is really warm water.

We stayed at the pool all day thursday, ate lunch, and skipped naps (lucky kids).  Thursday evening I had to run back to Idaho Falls for a relief society activity that I had helped plan, but McKay and the kids stayed at the pool until dinner time and then they headed to our camp site next to the pools.  Once at the camp site they ate dinner with everyone and played with the cousins, aunts, and, uncles.  I met back up with them late that night and we all slept in our tent that night.  Thankfully the tent sleeping adventure went well since the kids were beyond exhausted after their busy day at the pool.  I even slept reasonably well for being 32ish weeks pregnant.

Friday morning we woke up and ate a yummy breakfast and had some hot chocolate.  The kids loved the hot chocolate and daddy was nice to share his with them. :)  Love their messy chocolate faces!

After breakfast we went to the river that was near our camp site and let the kids hang out in the little water fall of warm water that flows into the river.  Seriously like a natural mini hot tub

Flash back to McKay with Adalyn in the same water fall 2 years earlier.  Oh and guess what... I was pregnant then also.  lol

After letting the kids get soaking wet (in their clothes?!  Very nice daddy)  We packed up, said our good byes to everyone and headed to Salt Lake to celebrate Adalyn's 3rd birthday.  We love Lava and spending time with family.  :)
