Labor Day 2014- Relaxation Style

Labor day weekend was so fun for us this year.  My parents came up to our house and stayed the WHOLE weekend (Friday night to Monday night) with us.  They lead some pretty busy lives, so we feel pretty lucky that we got to spend their only down time with them.  Thanks mom and dad!

It was also a very nice break/distraction for us from our usual projects and routines.  I enjoyed the company and help from my mom and McKay enjoyed having someone to play tennis with.

While we didn't do anything too extraordinary, it was still perfect, because honestly their isn't too many exciting things that you can do when you are pregnant and have 2 very young toddlers.  Oh and half way through the weekend McKay spranged his ankle playing tennis and then we REALLY couldn't do much.

Here are a few glimpses into our weekend...

Tennis
No pics, but McKay spranged his ankle... ouch!

The Eastern Idaho State Fair (yummy food)
The kids enjoyed the animals and kiddie area
This was our first experience with the fair and we really enjoyed it, except for the fact that it was SUPER crowded!  Next time I think we will go on a less busy evening/day.

The kids even got to try their hand at milking a cow.  Jensen loved it (and was pretty good at it too) and Adalyn just wanted the sticker.  Oh and thank you to the kind lady who helped my children with this experience so that their mom didn't have to. :)

Sunday we went to church and napped, and made some yummy yummy rolls.  I think we all ate 6 each.

Monday, Labor Day, we went to the Rexburg splash pad (it was FREEZING), and played at the park and rode the carousel.  Adalyn only braved the water for a few minutes, but Jensen hung out for a good 35 minutes.  He was shaking by the end.  He was one of two kids playing in the water.  lol

These kids LOVE the carousel.  It is so cute to watch them on it.

Big Jud's Restaurant.
We love small town places like this
This one has huge hamburgers
And extra grease. :)

The kids loved the fries and I don't think we heard one word from Adalyn once our food arrived (ok maybe she said "more ketchup please?") and then she was the last one eating.  We don't have chicken nuggets and fries very much at our house.  lol

don't mind my random piece of hair.

Such a fun weekend!  Now we just need to have a baby so they can come again :)
