Writers Block

Hello dear readers.  I really have been wanting to write, I just don't know what to write about so I have been avoiding this blog.  Still not really sure what I am going to write about so this post will be random.  We are still doing some fun things so those events have been getting posted on our family blog (leave a comment if you want an invite) but I haven't had much to say here.

But life is good.  Our kids are SO cute.  Like, Jensen's little personality may just melt me every time I look at him.  He is getting older (10 months today) but is still little, or at least skinny.  The kid is SO smiley, and will laugh all day long.  Oh how I love that boy!

Today was the primary program in our ward.  3 straight hours with Sunbeams.  I need a nap.  But they did well.  Especially on their parts, so cute that they can memorize their lines.  Even at 3 years old!  I love how much we all get to know each other throughout the year.  They know me, I know them and the most important... they know what I expect out of them.  This class took longer than my one last year to get to this mutual agreement but there are more of them so that is to be expected.  But now we can have fun.  They listen well and sit still and in return I try and plan some fun activities to do in class.  I am excited for these last few months in sunbeams with these kids.

Halloween is this week.  Fun fun times as a parent.  The kids are darling in their costumes (we tried them out at the Ward Party).  Adalyn loved the Halloween party.  The girl could not wait to go back to the church today.  I was wondering if she would be disappointed because there wasn't candy being passed out at every corner, but she seemed to just be happy that she got to wear a pretty dress and see all her friends.  I will be sure to post some pictures of their costumes when the day finally comes.  This year we bought fruit snacks for our "candy".  I am wondering if kids will appreciate the change from the normal mini candy bars/ tootsie rolls, or if they will just think we are lame.  Who knows?

Also if any of you need a fairly guilt free snack you should try this because we are obsessed at our house.  Peanut butter banana smoothie- for one serving 1 banana, a little less than 1 Tbsp cocoa powder, 1 cup milk, heaping scoop of peanut butter, and about 4 ice cubes.  Then blend it all in a blender.  Enjoy!

Well that is all I can think of.  Hope you are having a good Sunday.  Have a great day!

  2. Super cute costumes! Always fun to have a theme with multiple kids, but it always gets harder or more expensive the more of them that come! I just had to comment about your Halloween snacks... I remember LOVING going to my Grandma's house on Halloween because she always had a special bag of "healthy" snacks to give to us grandkids... Like a string cheese, crackers, raisins & juice or something. It was always such a nice change from all the sugary OTHER stuff we got everywhere else, that I STILL kind-of crave going Trick-or-Treating there. But unfortunately, she's gone now, but I'm hoping to do the same with MY grandkids someday I think. Because even still, string cheese seems like a treat around here! :)
