Is that a bad thing? Possibly...
Have we found some good deals? Yea maybe...
Is this obsession going to end soon? Probably not...
So before I go on let me give you all some background info. Because there is a very good chance that quite a few of my blog posts this summer will revolve around similar topics.
As most of you know we are moving in about a month, we found our new apartment and are basically just waiting till McKay graduates. Currently I am working full time but will no longer be doing that once we move. What will I be doing when we move? Ahhh that is a great question and I am still working on the answer for it. I have a million ideas in my head of what I could do so now it just depends on what I get motivated to actually do when I am 8 months pregnant. But one MAIN thing that I would like to do is redecorate and reorganize. (ok so that is two things, but they mesh together so well that it is basically one thing) So through out the past couple of weeks I have come up with a list of furniture type items that I will need/want (ok lets be honest mostly want) to help fufill this dream/desire of mine. I love to decorate and I can't wait to do it in our new townhouse! Especially when one of those rooms gets to be a nursery for our little girl :) Here is an almost complete list of the things that were on my furniture list:
Dresser for our room
Dresser/changing table for the baby's room
Extra bed for when guests come over (hopefully we will have some guests)
Dryer
New TV stand that matches our living room colors
Night stands for our room
Glider/rocking chair for nursery
computer desk
additional freezer
So this list is the reason that we have been on KSL Classifieds all week. And I am happy to report that we actually got about 1/2 of the things on our list. Then when we actually move I can focus on just adding the final touches/decorations (the creative parts) and organizing everything. Honestly though I am worried that I will get bored and slightly lonely being a stay at home wife for a few months because I am so used to being busy. But hopefully I can spend this time learning and growing as a individual and as a homemaker. Along with house decorating I want to focus on food storage, meal planning, and McKay's mission scrapbook. So here's to motivation! Oh and obviously I will also be preparing for a new baby too. :) Well that is all for today, have a good night!
p.s. I am very jealous of Salt Lake County you guys have a million choices of used furniture down there! While on KSL there were MANY times when we wished that we lived closer. But none the less we were able to find a few things up here in Cache county. Just got to look hard I guess and be VERY patient
p.s.s. Here is the proof that our little one is a girl...
Wow! I'm impressed that you've been able to already get HALF of your wish-list so far! I STILL feel like I'm waiting for MY wish-list to come to fruition, but I guess that's how wish-lists are... they continue growing no matter how many things get checked OFF the list! Well, good luck being patient! And have you officially found a townhouse then to rent? I had heard that you were looking, but I'd never heard that you'd found a place. Sounds fun though! Good luck with the big move!
