Ok...lets see... What comes next? Oh yes, Christmas!

Wow I can't believe that I am posting about Christmas when it is almost Feburary. Oh well, better late than never. And since I loved Christmas SO much this year (or should I say last year) I can't just skip over it. :) So anyways, for Christmas this year McKay and I started out on Christmas Eve morning/afternoon by going to his Mom's house in Provo. While there we had tons of fun hanging out with his siblings, building a fire, eating grilled cheese sandwiches and opening presents. We got his mom some new curtains for her living room but we we decided that we needed more than we bought so I sent McKay on a mission to Walmart (and on Christmas eve that is a BIG task) to buy more. After he got back we hung them up for her.

McKay's sisters building our amazing fire :) Yes the girls did build the fire

After hanging out and talking with everyone for awhile we headed back to Salt Lake for a Danish Christmas party with McKay's Dad and his mom Liz. It was a really nice party with TONS of great food. We then opened one present from santa, at pudding, sang songs, and danced around the Christmas Tree (Danish tradition). Danish Christmas is one of McKay's favorite things about Christmas so I am glad that we were able to go. After Danish Christmas we headed back to my family's house in Draper. We stayed there over the entire Christmas break so that I could work in Salt Lake for a few weeks. When we got there that night we opened our new PJ's from my dad. It was fun because they were all matching. (pictures of us in them are below).

And ofcourse if we are in matching clothes I had to take one with my "twin"

Christmas morning we woke up at SIX THIRTY AM (Someone has got to change this tradition I think that we are little too old to get up that early on christmas morning. But none that less we were up and ready to open gifts. McKay and I had saved some of our wedding gifts to open that morning since we had left the only gifts that we had bought for each other in Logan. (we got each other new scriptures with our names on them. Mine are blue and his are black) We still felt so spoiled on Christmas because my parents got us some really fun things. They bought me shoes and a nice jacket and they got McKay and Leatherman and a jacket. SO nice especially after just paying for our wedding. We opened gifts until about seven thirty and then made a very yummy breakfast (or should I say my mom and dad made a VERY yummy breakfast) Thanks mom and dad! Later in the day we headed up to my Grandma and Grandpa Frys for Christmas dinner. We had ham and cheesy potatoes. They tasted so good. After dinner we opened presents and every grandchild got a very special ornament. Even McKay and I which was really nice of them.

After opening gifts McKay and I headed to Evanston to visit his dad and Liz at their house. We also opened gifts there and his parents gave us a really nice knife set along with their Christmas gifts to us. We gave a belt to his dad and we went in on a camera for his mom. That night we watched a movie with the entire family, and after that we were ready for bed. It had been a very fun day but I was very tired after that early morning and lots of driving. I was pooped and almost fell asleep instantly. But overall I would say it was a very successfull first Christmas togethter and I can't wait till this coming Christmas when we get to decorate our own apartment! That is all for now, thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
