Honeymooning in Salt Lake and St. George

After the wedding we headed to Salt Lake. We stayed at the Anniversary Inn for two nights in the Romeo and Juliet Suite. I loved staying there and they gave us tons of good food. The day after the wedding McKay had made resevations for us to go to the Roof Resturant. It was both of our first times there, and I am sorry for any of you that love the Roof I have to say that I was not that impressed with the food. I do not think it was worth the 100 dollars that we payed. But the one thing that I did love about it was the view. I felt like I got to see the lights on temple square without actually having to stand in the cold. And of course we were already on such a spiritual high after getting married in the temple the day before so that just made it all the better. So after we finished eating we tried to roll ourselves back to the car (I think I ate more than I ever have in my entire life combined!) Then two hours later all of the food that McKay just finished packing in came back up. Yes, McKay got food poisoning. Luckly it only lasted for about two days, but I am sure for him it felt like forever. But he was so good throughout the whole thing and didn't complain at all. After two days in Salt Lake City we headed to St. George for the rest of the time. While in St. George we stayed in a really nice condo that was probably bigger than our apartment in Logan. :) It was really nice weather down there and it was nice to actually be able to see the sun. So we did some hiking around on the red rocks and we took a self-guided tour of Snow Canyon State park. So of the pictures later on are of us at snow canyon. We also went to both New Moon (for me) and Blindside (for me again) Thanks McKay! And ofcourse lots of eating out. No it was not warm enough to me to go swimming so I chose the hot tub. Which felt so good. No we didn't have tons of amazing plans for our honeymoon. But after just finishing tons of finals, planning and wedding, and preping for Christmas all we wanted to do was relax. So for me it was wonderful to just spend tons of time with my new husband. Love you McKay!

These are in the kitchen at the condo in St. George

At the entrance to a creepy old hut built into some rocks. By the way, sorry all of these pictures are so up close, when it is only the two of you there are only so many options...

The rest of these pics are from Snow Canyon State Park on the petrified sand dunes.

Like always McKay climbing. :) There were some signatures written on the side of a rock wall and McKay decided that he needed to touch them.

Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope you are all having a great day!

  1. That's a bummer about McKay getting food poisoning but I'm glad it turned out to be a great honeymoon and you got some great pictures! You know me, gotta love lots of pictures.
